| August 6, 2010 | 12th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefitting orphans in the Orel Oblast of Russia The 2010 tournament beneficiary was the children in the orphanage in Kirov, Russia. Funds from this year's tournament were used to buy a customized van to transport the disabled children from the orphanage in Kirov, Russia to a new education facility. | August 7, 2009 | 11th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefitting orphans in the Orel Oblast of Russia The 2009 tournament beneficiary was the children in the orphanage in a small village in the Orel Oblast of Russia, which is supported by nuns from the Maria Magdalena convent. Funds from this year's tournament helped with desperately needed repairs along with providing funds for basic needs of the children in this home. | August 10, 2007 | 9th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the severely disabled orphans in Borovichi Russia The 2007 tournament beneficiary was the special needs children in the severely disabled wing of the Borovichi orphanage in Northern Russia. The proceeds of this year's Fore the Children golf tournament were used to make extensive repairs to this wing of the Borovichi orphanage and to renovate and provide therapeutic equipment for the children confined to this wing. | August 11, 2006 | 8th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the Frank Foundation's Family Preservation Program The 2006 tournament beneficiary was the participants in the Frank Foundation Family Preservation Program. The proceeds of this year's Fore the Children golf tournament were used to support the Frank Foundation Family Preservation Program - a unique initiative which strives to prevent a child from becoming an orphan in the first place through the provision of small grants which aim to keep the family unit intact. | August 5, 2005 | 7th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the Children of the Novgorod Region of Russia The 2005 tournament beneficiary was the children of Novgorod. The proceeds of this year's Fore the Children golf tournament were used by the Novgorod Department of Education for renovation of the sports facility at the Derevyanitsy Boarding School to benefit older orphans in the Vilikiy Novgorod region. The renovated sports complex will give the 280 orphans at the school the opportunity to develop physically and socially in a safe environment, and deter them from delinquency. | August 13, 2004 | 6th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the Children of the Republic of Georgia The 2004 tournament beneficiary was the children of the Republic of Georgia. The proceeds of this year's Fore the Children golf tournament were utilized to create a special maternity ward and center for abandoned infants within the Central Hospital in Tbilisi, Georgia. This specialized unit is equipped to provide much needed care to orphaned infants. This program will work to prevent illnesses which often have lifelong consequences. | August 1, 2003 | 5th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the Children of Stavropol Region of Russia In 2003, the tournament beneficiary was the children of the Stavropol Region of Russia. Located along the border of Chechnya, this entire area has faced many hardships, particularly affected are those residing in orphanages and specialized boarding school. An estimated 28,000 children have been left orphaned by the impact of the one of the most bitter and yet unknown conflicts of the 21st century. located along the border of Chechnya. | August 9, 2002 | 4th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the Children of Ekaterinburg Our cause in 2002 cause was to provide higher education opportunities for orphans from Ekaterinburg Russia. Proceeds were used to provide scholarships and higher educational assistance for children who are "graduating" from the orphanages in the Ekaterinburg region of Russia. | August 3, 2001 | 3rd Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the Children of Kazakhstan In 2001, proceeds provided aid in the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis in orphanages in Kazakhstan. Proceeds were used to provide diagnostic equipment and treatment for those inflicted with this disease which has reached epidemic proportions in their country. Additionally, funding was provided to vaccinate infants prior to their exposure. It is believed hundreds of lives will be saved as a result of this treatment. |
| August 11, 2000 | 2nd Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the Children of Novgorod The children of the Novgorod region of Russia were the beneficiaries of the 2nd annual tournament. Two areas of need were addressed with the proceeds. Wheelchairs and rehabilitative equipment were purchased for children who lived in orphanages where they were not able to leave the building due to the lack of proper equipment. Additionally, a village was founded as an educational, self-sustaining community to become the home of selected teenagers who typically would be released from the orphanage into the streets at the age of 16. In this village, the children learn a trade, sell their products and live on land donated by Governor Prussack in buildings built with funds from the tournament. Frank Foundation Child Assistance International provides funding for the administrative costs of running the village. |
| August 6, 1999 | 1st Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic Benefiting the Children of Kaspi The proceeds of this tournament were used to rebuild an orphanage for disabled children in Kaspi, Republic of Georgia. The 64 children who once lived in horrific conditions now have new beds, heating, plumbing, new windows, and a new cafeteria. FFCAI matched the funds and contracted with a construction company to install windows, redo the plumbing, paint inside and outside, replace the cracked flooring and perform a number of other repairs. FFCAI then oversaw the purchase of new beds, wool blankets, space heaters, curtains and tables and chairs for the cafeteria and common room. We were able to make life a bit more comfortable for these forgotten little ones and remain committed to the continued improvement of conditions at Kaspi and giving these children the human dignity they deserve. |
