"... by working with one child at a time, the otherwise daunting task of trying to save every child becomes manageable."
Who is Friends of Frank?
When Diane and Milton Cadenhead adopted their first son from Russia in 1994, they
expected their lives to change. They just did not realize the full extent to which they
would change. The Cadenheads adopted again in 1996 and in 1998. It was the children
left behind, though, that remained in their thoughts and were the basis for the foundation
of Friends of Frank. This volunteer organization, initiated in 1997 with the cooperation
of Frank Foundation Child Assistance International (FFCAI), is comprised mainly of families of children
adopted from the former Soviet Union.
Working with FFCAI, Friends of Frank strives to improve the lives of the children remaining in the
former Soviet Union and to support the goals of FFCAI. Friends of Frank is an entirely volunteer organization
and 100% of the proceeds of this group go directly to the cause.
Friends of Frank has made some noteworthy accomplishments and contributions
since it began in 1997. The most significant, recurring program is the
Fore The Children Golf Classic held each year since 1999. Friends of Frank has
also sponsored and coordinated other fund raising activities, boot drives, and
events to directly benefit the children of the former Soviet Union.
Friends of Frank has also facilitated events to increase the awareness of the
needs of these children, along with events to bring families together to
celebrate the blessings of adoptive families.
If you are interested in joining this organization, please contact Diane Cadenhead at diane@cadenhead.com
or at 301-428-1755. Friends of Frank encourages all those interested in furthering their relationship
with families created through adoption and those with an interest in improving the lives of the children in
the former Soviet Union to join this volunteer organization.
